I can't for the life of me figure out why I wasn't there. I saw them the year before, and learned why bands have bass players. This sounds great for a free dl.

“Whoever is throwing those firecrackers especially those ones on stage, belongs at a Ted Nugent concert, not here.” Brilliant!

I will be curious to listen to this show (awaiting it on the CD set I just ordered) because I really had freak-out moments at this show. The band all looked high and out of control. Jerry seemed to be trying to impress Donna; Keith angrily threw all the flowers folks had put on his grand piano top, the drumming section sounded like "war is coming," Garcia spit out the lines "I know the Queen of Diamonds by the way she shine" looking at us like we were all complicit in some bad deal, and what's worse, nobody I asked would give me a light. Really selfish crowd. Perhaps I had taken some bad dose of something. At one point I hallucinated a 40 foot high winged Babylonian God carved into the wall and saw the Biblical words, "Mine Mine Tinkl Beri," which was I suppose some sort of curse. I called my friend Jeff with my dire message of doom and he actually drove to the show and snuck in to try to find me, but couldn't. My only bummer show ever out of several primo experiences with the band. Highly subjective, yes?

Just to be fair, Bob was wearing a huge rubber werewolf mask. Probably made it hard to see.

This is actually pretty nice sounding for an AUD from 78. Nice all around really.

Agree 4.5 stars for towering FIRE and one of the best DANCIN'S alone - THIS DANCIN IS OFF THE HOOK. Stella is sick and Sugar Mag is as well.
Sound quality is a 2 but lets overlook that for the time as it is a '78 audience that has been stepped all over. Mwood, Loser, Ramble on Rose are EXCEPTIONAL in fact this first set is yet another Minnesota barn burner. Check out Bobby blow the lyrics of Mama Tried - everyone is ripped. The PEGGY-O is really beautiful and one of the best I have heard recently, it is so melodic. Cassidy & DEal are 2 more crushers, Then there is MUSIC....
